There are some political tensions between Taiwan and Japan, and the media says it's no longer a safe place for the Japanese to travel.

Is that true?

My sister and I are hoping to visit there for summer holiday.

  1. of course it is safe! they are tourist-friendly!

  2. I would say its very safe. The vast majority of normal people don't care about some greedy b******s' territorial grab to get oil cash. From all I have seen, Taiwanese like Japanese and try to be like them.

  3. it's very safe. in fact, the majority of travelers to taiwan are japanese. don't worry.

  4. No, it's very safe.  The Taiwanese people are very welcoming to foreigners, your biggest worry will probably be the very humid weather!  Hopefully we won't get any typhoons either!

  5. It is safe without a doubt.  I would say most Taiwanese people are friendly and would  definitely welcome any tourist from all parts of the country.  Of course, you have to give respect to receive it!! Don't forget to hit the night markets for the wonderful Taiwanese food!!!  It's cheap and YUMMY!!
