  1. DO NOT'S:

    NO JEWELERY (ONLY FANTASY)

DO NOT KEEP ANYTHING VALUABLE WITH YOU

HIDE VERY WELL YOUR PASSPORT, ID'S AND VALUABLES IN THE HOTEL "VERY VERY VERY WELL"  AND KEEP COPIES WITH YOU.

JUST VISIT NICE AREAS .. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GO TO THE "CERROS DE CARACAS"

    DO'S:

    BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS

BE A HAPPY CAMPER, YOU ARE GOING TO A GREAT COUNTRY WITH GREAT PEOPLE!

    HAVE LOTS OF FUN

  2. no, that is definatly not safe. but if you absolutly must look like you live there know the language fluently so people dont know your a tourist and dont look rich.       im just kidding!!....(well sorta)  just be cautious

  3. yes and no. Like any city on earth, caracas has it's dangers. If you're alone, it's prob actually better than if you're with a group of obviously foreign people.  Venezuelans have a large selection of colors, features, and you could theoretically blend in. However, don't wear those surfer shorts and birkenstocks, those are obviously tourist gear.

I've found that Venezuelans are extremely hospitable and helpful.  But like any city, be it NYC, Caracas, or Paris,  you need to be aware of your surroundings.

  4. You should be fine but here are a few tips:

    1. Don't look rich.

    2. Don't get nervous, act like you know what you're doing or where you're going.

    3. Be nice, LOL. Just don't p**s anyone off, you never know who they are.

    4. Try to avoid the really poor parts of Caracas, be aware of the people around you.

    5. Have fun!

  5. well I'm Colombian and Cuban (born in America To Hispanic parents) Ive traveled to Colombia many times. some good tips are to bring two wallets just in case you get robbed give the thief the decoy wallet and Caracas as any big south American city's. are not safe to foreigners at night. some Di's are dress like the local people. don't try to look like a foreigner. and 1 more thing is NEVER ever take a cab with more then one person. and if you do stay at a hotel request for them to call a cab for you its safer some cabbies will kidnap you if they see that you may have something of worth.

and remember have fun just try to be safe

  6. Caracas is a very safe and beautiful city

  7. dont look like u hav money

  8. Dangerous places, not safe places, difficult areas, you like any tourist person, never go there,  Always you'll stay at safe hotels, safe parks, safe malls o commercial centers in a sure taxi and always with beautiful persons

  9. Sure.

Caracas can be safer than some parts in the UK for that matter!

As for the do's and don'ts: they are the same anywhere in the world.

Don't carry or display too much cash.

    Keep to well-lit, well-known areas.

Ask for directions to the concierge in your hotel, etc.

    Have fun.

    Caracas is quite fun!

Too bad you can only stay for a week.
