Is it safe for cockatiels to be in the room ( in their cage, of course) with a gel fuel fireplace burning?

I have a "found" cockatiel and recently installed a gel fuel fireplace which I would like to use when needed. Is it safe for the bird to be exposed to any fumes this may give off?

  1. no, birds have tiny sensitive respitory systems and need clean air at all times and if he is exposed to the firplace he can die.


  2. no it is not birds have air sacs and those can be irritated at the least little fume and they can die from exposure to that .
