Is it safe for foreign tourists to visit Srinagar now?

We are looking to fly there for a few dasy and back again

Hey, why dont you try to catch Anaconda with your bare hands, or try to cover SAHARA desert alone by walking...... all these activities spells Adventure! but still safer than a QUICK VISIT to Sri Nagar, pls check the GROUND reality. some ppl talk about safety........ well read any local news paper u will come to know the reality...... U wanna enjoy then pls enjoy.....

Yes its safe to travel in kashmir at some points they have security check up but thats not really to be worried about ensure to keep some identification by the goverment body i.e Driving licence or any goverment card with you,otherwise kashmir is a beautiful place to see

Yeah, its quite safe now. The security arrangements in Srinagar are quite assuring.  Enjoy the Heaven on Earth in Srinagar.

The Temple of Shankaracharya , The Mughal Gardens, The Dal Lake, The Valley of Kashmir

Also go to Gulmarg which is at a distance of 56 Km from Srinagar.
