  1. make sure its a legit company and make sure the page you put your info in is encrypted or protected usually there will be a lock in the address bar where you type in the name of the site

    i.e.

    www.nameofsite.com                        []   <---- lock

  2. Sometime it is sometime it isn't McAfee has a site checker.Checks to make sure Websites are secure. And not a phishing site. I would get that first. Then check around about the site you wish to purchase from.I would make sure you don't have any malware also.Your best bet is if you can purchase it at a local store. Then that's the safest way.

  3. Yea, it usually is.  If the site is a trusted site than don't even worry about it.  To see if it's trusted, look at the bottom of a page and ususally you will see something like VeriSign or something like that to see that it's trusted.

  4. Should be safe if its a respected site, just don't give away the numbers on the back of your card - NEVER DO THAT!!

  5. No it isn't completely safe.

You can delete all cookies and temporily files via Internet Properties on IE.

But that will only help a bit.

Try to remove all traces of it and that should help make it safer.

But, it cannot be completely safe.

Also, check for an SSL Cerifcate.

And please give the details of the ordering sweets shop. For me to check if the server it's stored on is safe.
