Is it safe to apply tire foam shine on plastics?

for detailing purposes mostly exterior not interior.

i would not after years of using stuff like armor all on black plastic trim i find most of that stuff dries out the plastic and dull it worse.  stick to something like back to black or simple some baby oil or vegie oil just a very light coat though

that stuff have chemicals that prevent tires from getting wet. i cant see it hurting, but its better just to use it for what its made for.
