Is it safe to assume -- score on practice LSAT vs. real LSAT?

I took the practice LSAT to see how I would do. If I scored low on the practice LSAT exam (140 :( that I took at home untimed (I'm likely to get untimed conditions if I take the real one) that I will also get a low score on the real thing? I took the test from June '07. Thank you.

  1. It is pretty accurate, mostly because it is an actual test that was given in the past. So, the results from that exam are about as good as you can get without taking the real thing live on test day.

One thing about the timing, and that is that even with special accommodations, the most amount of extra time you are likely to get is double time. So, you would get 70 minutes per section instead of 35. They don't allow sections to be untimed, and from what I hear, they can be really difficult with granting extra time at all (even with the proper medical docs).

With a 140, you should hit the books and start reading some prep books, or maybe take a prep class. Whatever you think would work best for you. The good news is that you can really improve that score with some studying. Good luck!
