I am not sure of the question by safe do you mean to turn in a school bus for going through a red light. Yes they have our children on that bus. What are you waiting for.

Will it make anything blow up/catch fire... no... will it be extremely annoying thus causing a possible confrontation... maybe....

but in all actuality, yeah, its safe.

Give your children a whistle to blow if they are in danger.

A whistle will attract attention and may ward off a crime, but at the same time just blowing it for the fun of it could distract the bus driver.
