  1. It's not really a good idea.  They do give off harmful pollutants, (carbon dioxide is not toxic BTW) If you do, I would suggest not being in the area, as the smoke will contain carcinogens. (cancer causing agents).

  2. Under no circumstances should you burn polythene bags.   Dangerous toxic gases are emitted, carbon dioxide for example.

  3. Check out this site for an in-depth understanding of what that would do. http://www.tribuneindia.com/1998/98nov05...

  4. no...it is very bad

  5. Short answer is NO!

Burning plastics in an open fire or one with a lowish temperature results in carcinogenic dioxins being released.

Some industrial incinerators burn at a much higher temperature which destroys dioxins, however, plastic is recyclable into more plastic, and if it is burnt (either to 'get rid of it' (!) or to generate a bit of electricity) this non-renewable resource, made originally from oil, is lost.  Far better to keep it in use.

  6. IT IS NOT AT ALL SAFE BURNING PLASTIC BAGS . BECAUSE IT IS NOT BIODEGRADABLE . THIS TERM OR WORD MEANS THE SUBSTANCE DOES NOT DECOMPOSES . IF SUCH A CONDITION COMES THEN IT WILL EMIT FOUL SMELL AND POISONOUS GASES LIKE CARBON-MONO-OXIDE . IT IS AN ODOURLESS GAS WHICH CAUSES BREATHING PROBLEMS AND CAN KILL A PERSON IN A FEW HOURS .HENCE IT CAUSES AIR POLLUTION AND IT IS NOT AT ALL SAFE TO BURN THEM .
