My friend wants to sell me his Chevrolet S10 for $8,000.00.

It has a fantastic audio system in it, that dumps. And a very good air bag system.

But other than that it has 111,000 miles.

Are these types of vehicles know to run for a long time?

  1. Normally Chevys last a long time (my dad has a 1994 Chevy Silverodo 1500) (witch is one size up from the S 10)with 17900 on it and it still runs great, And he never had any big problems, other then things like the battery, oil, tiers, and breaks, but them things need to be replaced on all cars.

  2. I agree with previous poster. Although 111K is not a lot of miles by todays standards, that is a lot of money for it.

  3. NO,Run the other way,their junk.

  4. NOOOOOO

DONT DO IT GOOD YIPPEEE FANTASTIC AUDIO SYSTEM O WELL ITLL PROBABLY BRAKE DOWN YOU WILL BE PAYIN REPAIRS LIKE CRAZY DO THE KBB ON IT PROBABLY LIKE 500.00 HES TRYIN TO CHEAT YOU

  5. Year?

Sounds like your buddy is wanting the extra $$$ for the mods that he did. It would be very rare for an S10 to be worth 8k. It would have to be a d**n clean low mileage truck.

The 4.3L V6 will run forever. Simple as that. Plus the reduced output power (compared to the V8) allows the auto tranny to last a long time as well. I'm sure it will have issues down the road, but all vehicles will... I'm not familiar with the 4cyl, but would guess similar results.

  6. $8,000??!!! this better be a newer s-10. 111K is not alot, you could try to check WWW.kellybluebook.com....this will give u a general idea of the cars value.

  7. Safe, maybe Smart, NO

That thing is worth maybe $350 as a trade in with those miles, regardless of the dump audio system.

But then, it is your money.

  8. too many miles for that much, buy a motorcycle
