yes....but make sure the seller has good feedback. look at the score and what people say about them. i have bought many things off ebay and have never had a bad experience.

What i would strongly recommend for you to do is go to paypal.com and open an account and connect it  to your bank account or your credit card. Pay pal will not reveal your information to sellers and so you don't have to worry about your credit or bank information being seen;only paypal will know this. Also i would also recommend on checking the feedback; that's most important. I was very hesitant on buying from ebay, but my friends basically told me the same thing which was open up a paypal account*safest way* and look at the feedback; those are very important.

Like Benash said, look at the feedback. You want someone 99% or higher, plus look at the number of negatives. If it's two digits I always avoid them.

Use paypal.  I wouldn't send a check or cash!  Paypal is safe and fast!

Yes. But if you're going to buy books, movies, or DVDs, use eBay's Half.com instead -- it's going to be a lot safer.

Yes.  A couple of tips to help with your safty.  Check the persons rating. If they have a high approval rating (99% or better) then your good.  Be woried if comments left about the person start with, "never received" or "filed complaint".  Every good system has a few bad apples, just be safe.  Last but not least, create a paypal account to help you pay for things quicker. Its more secure (because you have a digital record of the money transaction) and the money transfer is instant, instead of waiting a week for a money order to get to them. 90% of sellers on ebay use paypal and 70% will not except payment other than thru this form

I have been buying and selling on Ebay for about 7 years and have bought hundreds of items. I have never been ripped off once but I make sure the seller has good feedback first.

Yes they go through a third party, so you don't have to worry about ordering something, sending the money, and then never getting it.  My husband orders stuff all the time and has never had a problem with it.

out of every 50 items you buy on ebay 4 will be in poor condition  not in resellable condition or just a complete fake.
