Iam gonna be on an international travel this weekend. I need to carry 2 laptops with me. I can have one with me in carry-in luggage. I would have to get the other one in the check-in luggage.

Do you think it would be safe? Iam concerned that the laptop would be damaged because the luggage handling is very rough!

  1. Ashton, I would advise against putting a laptop in a checked bag. It is difficult to tell what stresses it would have to endure. They are not heavy, and two of them will fit in most carriers. Better that you carry two than get one ruined.

  2. i wouldn't be happy with carrying my laptop in a carry-on even if it was wrapped twice in bubble wrap. Do you really need two? cause if its possible to just bring one then just bring one of them.

  3. Be more concerned with your laptop be STOLEN.  You aren't allowed to put locks on your luggage anymore, unless it is a TSA lock.

If you send a laptop through checked luggage, kiss it goodbye.

  4. Absolutely not!  It would either never work again, or simply not be in your bag when you arrive.  I Know they are heavy, but you gotta carry them.  Have you seen the Eee Pc...tiny 7"screen, super lt.wt. little computers.  Great for travel and price starts at $300.00.
