Is it safe to chew gum that I found on the ground?

no. i am a scientist and i did an experiment on this exact thing, u r not supposed to eat stuff off the ground, u can get a disease called a cold!!!!!!

as long as you keep the 5 second rule and the gum aint crunchy when you found it you should be ok

that is just nasty! why would you even think about chewing that! if you wanna get sick have fun. ya never know. somebody might of put like poison or something in it.

I know a guy that does that. He has herpes, AIDS, mono, and hepatitis.

its perfectly fine. its just as safe as using needles found on the ground to put your insulin in :)

Gum is never 'good' for you, as when you chew it your digestion system gives out fluids expecting food which never comes.  To eat anything you pick up from the ground, well you get what you deserve.

wow unbelieveable u suck...or should i say u rule of the 1s that suck

now what if that wad was used by a prositute getting that manly taste outta her mouth..or maybe that wad was used by some1 with aids or hiv and some blood from their gums got mixed up in that wad..but i would go get checked out not only at the ER but u might want to stop by a mental health center

that depends on how u found it and where it was. was it found in a wraper in your room and still bendable? cause that's the only way that i would eat it. other than that, just keep walkin!
