  1. I do not think you should use water to bathe mice.  I buy it for my gerbils and hamsters and they all LOVE to roll in it.  Plus it gets them clean.  I hope this helps.

  2. I haven't heard of it. I think in theory it should work, because mice are kind of like small chinchillas in a way, well not really, but still. Just use less than the regular the amount for a chinchilla and your mouse you should be fine.

  3. No, I agree with the answerst that say no. You dont need to bathe them they clean themselves.

  4. you dont bathe mice, unless they've gotten into something that they shouldnt have, like honey, or dirt or something. (i've had mice chew into a honey bottle....very sticky mess!)

but if you want to give them bath sand...it wont harm them.

it usually makes thier coat feel better, and cools them off a bit. (like a cow having a dust bath in the hot summer months.)

    hope this helps!

  5. Hi,

Yeah. I looked it up and it said that Chinchilla Sand can be used to bathe all rodents.

    I really hope this helps!

  6. Well I have a gerbil and I bought him bath sand. He loves it. I don't think you're supposed to use water.

  7. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!! mice and rats are known for upper resp. infections and a diseas called myco. smoking, a dirt dusty cage, temp. too cold, etc. can brig this up. just imagine the damage it a dust bath can cause a rat or mouse! If you feel that it is absolutely neccesary to bathe your mouse and he/she is that dirty, you can fill the bathtube with warm water, no higher than their shoulders, and let them swim arond for about 15 min. then you can gent wash them with baby shampoo, no tear formula, and be careful not to wet their head or ears. then rinse them. you can also wash their tails with the shampoo and a soft tooth brush!

A clean ratty is a happy ratty!!

  8. yes it is safe for them to use use as long as your careful about their nails because i heard that it could affect them but i see no harm in trying it

Though i use "smellin' good" fragrance spray that is made for small animals and makes their cage and them smell good.

you can spray their cage with it and you can use it on them

just get a damp warm towel and spray them on their back and definitely their bellies and wipe them down. i do the wipe down about once a month for my mice. normally i just spray them with it once on them and it cleans them and makes them smell fresh
