Is it safe to delete ALL cookies?(And I mean all)

Will I lose important programs, files, and such? (I'm new to the whole cookies thing)

  1. Yes it is absolutely safe to remove all cookies and deleting them will reduce disk space also.

    If u r using firfox adjust the settings so that all private data(browsing history, cookies, form entries.etc) is cleared once u close firefox.  U can do this under-- Tools-->Options-->privacy.

    U can clear all cookies from internet explorer under internet options.


  2. actually its not only safe but it is a very good practice to delete all cookies after you have done a little serfing on  the internet.

    As cookies can be used against you by hacker as they contain information about you(passwords/accounts etc). the first thing that Phishers do is track your cookies.

  3. Yes it is safe. No you will not lose programs, files, not sure about such though:)

    Were on a site that you don't want to be seen huh?

  4. Cookie files are ordinary text files. Therefore, virtually any viewer or text editor that you have can be used to display and edit them. Since they are "ordinary" files, they can also be deleted.  

  5. yes as cookies are risk of virus
