Is it safe to drink the tap water in the Bahamas?

hmmmm... I wouldn't suggest it if it can be avoided. I don't think it's exactly like Mexico's water (as I am sure that's what you are wondering), but I wouldn't chance it unless you had no other choice.

I wouldn't chance it either.  When we sailed through the islands we always had water purification tablets or drops or bleach to put in our water.  You might be able to find some of those to take with you.  Here are a few links about them.
