Question:

Is it safe to drink water after a few hours when bubbles have formed in it?

Also, I have noticed that more bubbles seem to form in my water at work than at home. Do you think it might mean that the atmosphere in my office is somehow less healthy, lacking oxygen, etc?

  1. its safe!!!!its only coz its under warm temperature dnt worri!

  2. Well done Einstein !!!

    Its perfectley safe ti drink

  3. yeah. the bubbles are only bubbles of air that were dissolved in the water

  4. Dont be so soft, get it drunk there is nothing wrong with it

  5. It is perfectly safe to.

  6. if one can drink coke or pepsi or any other carbonated drink then such a water is most SAFE.

  7. It's fine, it allows the chlorine to remove itself by rising out of the water aswell

  8. Well I never heard of anyone dying from drinking bubbly water - it's just air that got trapped.  Probably more bubbles at work if the water pressure is higher so more air gets trapped when it's poured. Doesn't make it less healthy, you're just probably more likely to f@rt!

  9. The number of bubbles in your water will have nothing to do with the atmosphere.

Where I live there are places where the water coming out of the taps has a LOT of tiny air bubbles in it. Some people even think that it's chalk, but it's not, they are bubbles and they go up. Chalk would sink.

A short distance away there are people receiving the same water but it's hardly ever like that. It's just a matter of water pressure.

After a few hours the content of the water will be the same, give or take a bit of gas exchange with the atmosphere.

  10. No, it means there are tiny imperfections on the inside of the container (glass, mug, whatever).  My water does the same, and I have one large tankard of glass that lasts most of the day.  In the afternoon, I somethimes notice a small line of bubbles in the tankard, where there is a slight scratch in the plastic.

  11. If you drink alcohol, I think the question is pretty worthless.

I'm fairly certain that drinking water with a few bubbles would cause you any harm

  12. yes, there is nothing wrong with that water at all, since water is H2O and the bubbles are O2, its the same as drinking coke with bubbles in it, exept that they are CO2.

The reason they form is because when you pour water into a glass naturally some air will be trapped inside the water, but since the air is less dence than water it try to escape, and the water causes pressure to be put on top of that air which trapps some air in the water. Well thats the physics explanation of it.

If you really that concerned about it then just shake the glass and they will dissappear, magic!!!

  13. I hope so
