Its a good drive with some distance between towns. I would suggest a guide book and plan your stops to see some of Baja as you travel.  Hot in the summer.  Gas is cheaper in Mexico then in the States.  Food is about the same price as here in many places.  A lot of history in the area.

The Baja zone is not only beautiful but probably one of the most safe places to drive in Mexico, basically because there is not a lot of traffic and people there is used to drive in a "US mode".

Do it, I assure you're going to love it.

some what...but it takes 24 hrs to get their from Diego!
