Is it safe to dye conditioned hair?

Question

I want to dye my hair tonight,however,I CONDITIONED my hair earlier this morning. I did NOT use any shampoo and I only used a dab of conditioner in the lower area of my hair to loosen some knots. Is it safe for me to dye my hair tonight? Will it burn or cause the dye not to stick? I only used a small amount of conditioner and no shampoo.

yes aslong as you washed the conditioner out

rinse hair water only. dry hair with cool blow dryer. dye hair.
