Is it safe to eat Egg Noodles or raw macaroni?

Question

When I was a kid we used to raid my grandmothers macaroni jar. Also, when I have a small hunger pain, I like to eat egg noodles. I was told that I could get salmonella poisoning by doing this but I have done it for the last 21 years and never got it. So is it safe or not?

 I love eating raw egg noodles - I feel fine and don't feel ill after but if you do get stomach pains or any pain after don't keep eating them - (: x
