Is it safe to eat cat food?

Is this a bet?  Because other than being grossed out, there are no bad side effects.  If someone's offered you ten dollars to eat some cat food, go ahead and do it.  Ten dollars is ten dollars.

You wouldnt die. It's not very healthy for people, but there are stories of elderly people on a pension buying the tuna canned food since it's 1/2 the price of the human grade stuff.

I have never eaten cat food, but I did try some dog food. We had this dog and his owner come to school ever week and one day we were finished with what we were doing and five of us decided to try some of the the dog food. We all chewed at the same time and it tasted like raw rotten fish with dead rotten pig on it. It tasted horrible. I don't suggest trying it, at all. Unless you are getting 50 dollars for it. It will not kill you, it didn't kill me! Just remember to have breath mints handy!

It will taste undesirable more than likely. No nutrients, can give possible vomiting, diareah, stomach ache, and a few other small symtoms. But nothing too extreme.

You will not die. It is not a healthy food to eat for nutrition. Cat food has very little. But you won't die. Many children get into the cat and dog foods, it's gross, but they survive just fine.

im sure it wont kill you, but why the h**l do you want to eat cat food probally wont taste nice at all

Eating several pieces of the dry food won't kill you (it tastes NASTY though), but I'm not sure about large quantities or wet food.
