Is it safe to get a babysitting job on craigslist?

No way!  You're putting your life at risk.  You have no idea who sent that ad.  Try looking at your school for flyers and ads like on the community board..you're best bet though is though someone who may no know someone who needs a babysitter...network your way into it by asking around!  See if your friends know anyone who needs a babysitter, your family, etc.  That way, you establish a trust level for you and the others, both parties knowing that they're safe and can trust each other.

eeeekkkk, NO... Good God, I wouldn't even solicit for a babysitter on craigslist.

I advise you not to. I had heard news reports of people getting robbed or beaten after answering those ads.
