  1. You could e-mail these people and ask...

    http://www.medical-acupuncture.co.uk/

    Hope this helps.

  2. It's absolutely safe.   My co-worker goes to my acupunturist in Santa Monica.  She went all through her two pregnancies. She had easy deliveries, and recovered quickly.

  3. I am an acupuncturist, and I treat pregnant patients. I have not had one adverse event ever. In fact, in every case where I've treated a pregnant patient, I've had great success in helping them. Whether it is insomnia, pain, anxiety, high blood pressure... acupuncture offers a safe, medication-free way to manage nagging issues during pregnancy.

  4. for most people it is safe

I know of several people who have been helped through out the pregnancy

any thing from upset tummy to back ache

    sore feet

    swollen feet.

you want to make sure that you go to a good

    one

you should tell them your concerns

they should tell you every thing about it to your satisfaction

you might want to have a consult first

write  a list of every ?? you have.

it is important that you feel comfortable with whom ever you go to.

it is also important to make sure that they use disposable needles and does not use them over again.

in the country I live in they have to take them out of the package in front of you.

I do know that there are a couple of spots in the back that they have to stay away from. as they can cause uterine contractions. (not in everyone)

I know some people do not believe it.

but think about it your nerves run from your spine to every part of your body.

so they can do any thing

  5. There are a few mildly unsafe points eg triple warmer but any decent acupuncturist will know not to stimulate them.

Contacting Raven Eye's recommended site seems entirely sensible.

You might also try reflexology - it's based on exactly the same principles and your feet will be taking a lot more strain when you're pregnant.  It's also something you and any partner or friend could learn the basics on a short course.

  6. It is safe.  They say there are points to cause miscarriage but I do not believe it.
