Is it safe to get my credit report online...like through experian, trans union, or equifax?

YES, just go through the specific sites.  In fact... you can get your reports free at www.annualcreditreport.com.  The site is secure, and it is the only site for the "true free credit report"

I believe it also has the option to have it mailed, if that makes you more comfortable.

All 3 gave me my credit report on line. The report is free, but if you want your credit score you have to pay.

Remember, you can check your credit report free one a year.

So if you see something not right, write down the info then.

You can't return to the report for free until a year later.
