I have a heart arrhythmia, nonsustained v-tach, and am wondering if it is safe for me to get the numbing medicine at the dentist. I have gotten it before (about 3 years ago) for a fill-in and it made my heartrate go really fast and thats all, but back then my heart wasn't skipping as much as it does now. I'm scared to go for my appointment tomorrow, i'm afraid I'll go into cardiac arrest!!! Any advice??

  1. You must inform the dentist of your condition. The medication that usually causes problems for people is  Epinephrine. There are anesthetics that do not contain this medication. You must discuss this with the dentist before he /she starts to work on you
