Is it safe to get off the cruise ship in ensenada, mexico with all the kidnappings that are going on.?

Most of those kidnappings have involved people who live in California, but own businesses and have family in Mexico.    Tourists are not the targets.  Also, the number of kidnappings is  down about 90% this year from last.  Just use good common sense and i believe you will be as safe as in any large U.S. city.

Kidnappers aren't stoopid enough to kidnap American tourists. Why? Because the second your photo is posted on Fox News there will be such an outcry that Mexico will be bench pressed to arrest them and believe me, they will if they can.

Kidnappers aren't stupid, in Mexico the sentence for kidnapping is longer than 1st degree murder. They rather kidnap the rich bratty kids of corrupt mexican businessmen because it's more probable they will actually get the money and because since the businessman or politician has done illegal things himself, that person will want to handle things as discretely as possible.

Rich kids having bodyguards wherever they go isn't an odd thing in Mexico at all. I see bodyguards hanging in front of my university door entrance all day, everyday.

I can't count out you could get a pickpocket to steal your wallet though. Pickpocketing is very common here, don't leave your wallet showing with a fresh ball of $$$ and don't be flashing cash everywhere in the air.

Hi their,everybody thinks cause they come to mexico their gonna get kidnapped! People who get kidnapped are the same people who live in mexico,the ones that drive nice cars,have nice houses,they get watched and followed to their house and get kidnapped! Its not about the American people,in some cases yes,cause u have a relative that lives in the states and one who lives in mexico,they kidnapp ur relative in mexico ,call u cause they think people in the states have trees that grow money on them and they ask for  money to release ur relative! But dont worry Ensenada is a small town,just dont wonder off the beaten path! Ull b ok!! SERIOUS!! And plus when ur on the ship i think the pair u up with other people so u wont be alone,partys! They cant kid nap 5-10 people!

Yes!  The way I see it anything can happen anywhere.  If you don't do "risky things" most likely your trip will be wonderful and safe... i go there at least three times a year and the people are great, and it is a beautiful place.  If you get  chance visit the blowhole... there taxi's and vans that can take you there.
