My friend is going to Havasu tomorrow and she tends to overdo it when it comes to drinking. Given its a holiday, she'll probably end up in all forms of debauchery. But I'm wondering, is it really a good idea to swim while your p**s drunk? I've done that before but in a pool. She's not that strong of a swimmer. What do you think might happen?

  3. No. It is not that safe. you might want to go swimming before drinking.

  4. No she might drown.

  5. I've been to Havasu and I'm a strong swimmer.  Here's what I did while I was there a few years ago with friends.  We hit the beer pretty hard but found a way to have fun and stay safe as well.  First, I'd recommend that she stays along the canal that runs under London Bridge.  The edge of the canal slopes down into the water and no one seems to mind if you setup a chair or a floating cooler.  We spent the better part of two days doing that with no problems.

  6. no, alcaohol impairs your motor functions. swimming while drunk is extremely dangerous, a lot of russians drown per year because they go swimming drunk on new years eve.

im not joking, loads of people drown that way every year.

  7. Very, very bad idea. You're gonna swim you need all your wits about you. Hey, you can drown in no time flat....
