Is it safe to go to Cancun in June ?

My friends and I want to plan a trip to Cancun in 2009. We were thinking taht we would like to go in June cause the prices are cheaper then in December or January. What I woudl like to know is if if we can avoid hurrican season in the month of June in Cancun?

Yes, I agree with what he said. The hurricanes, like this year, generally kick in later in the summer, and you can get some good deals in June. And, it's not as hot then as in July or Aug. You can check out monthly temperatures and rainfall on the site below.

Yes, you can avoid them. Hurricane season runs typically from May 1-Nov. 31.  Hurricanes generally don't peak until September. In all reality though the last hurricane to hit Cancún was in 2005 and before that there hasn't been a hurricane to hit Cancún in almost 20 yrs.  You will be 100% safe to go in June. You will have no worries of hurricanes whatsoever. June is a great month to go. It will be perfect. Have fun!!!
