Is it safe to have Fundamental Christians with End Times Prophecy in control of the White House? Palin?

Well we've nearly managed 8 years of Bush.  But no... 8 is enough..  We can't base our lives on a book that was written by people who believed that earth was flat.

Not everyone who believes in a literal interpretation of the Bible feels it is our "Christian duty" to speed it along.

I am an evangelical but lean libertarian politically because I feel that the attempts to "Christianize" America through the ballot box only harm our cause of spreading the Gospel by embittering those who don't believe it against the Good News.

I don't believe God needs my help to orchestrate the end of the world...that comes in His timing. My job is to attempt to live my life as an example of a Christ-led existence. I do very poorly at it (as do most Christians I know) but that is what I feel we are here to do.

My biggest duty politically is to educate myself BEFORE voting and then pray for Godly counsel AFTER for whoever does end up in the Oval Office since I believe the Bible commands us to pray for those in authority.
