Is it safe to have a forward folding booster seat?

What I mean is the new booster seat I bought online folds easily to my amazement, it does not have a rigid back support, of course it rests on the back seat of the car, and when my son sits with the seat belt on, it wouldn't fold forward, but is it really safe ? The booster seat is from Jané (a Jané Indy). Thanks.

  1. no

  2. As long as he's using it with a seat belt/shoulder harness I don't see how there could be a problem. Some boosters come without a back, some have rigid backs and some have folding backs.

  3. Yes, the Jane Indy is a high end and safe booster seat, as long as you install it properly. Which means, you must attach it to your vehicle's lower LATCH anchor points. Also, it is only suitable for children weighing 30 and 80 pounds. It is not as safe for smaller or bigger kids.

    Best of luck!

  4. Nope that is pretty unsafe.........
