Yes it completely safe if you follow the procedure correctly, i have an ipod touch with it hacked.

Now you can always go back to your original factory settings, if you dont like it or make a mistake, by using itunes and then clicking on restore.

Now it will not phsycally do anything damage to your ipod, and no other damage anywhere else. I have a 16gb, and it dosent even touch 3mb for the WHOLE process even when your adding programs like the iphone apps.

each app is like a couple of hundred KB.

Do this if your unsure and have a pc, watch ipodtouchmaster, a 16 year old kid shows you how easy it is to jailbreak.

    www.youtube.com/ipodtouchmaster

he basically shows you how many things you can do on your ipod.

  2. Yeah.

But it's only a matter of time before it f**ks up. And then all you have to do is restore. But after the 3rd time that's a pain in the a**. haha

Whatever you do: DO NOT play the ant squishing game. It makes the hack fail faster.

  3. Yes! Just watch the youtube videos on how to do it.

  4. well it's safe and all, but not really reccomended.  once you jail break it, you lose your warranty on your ipod forever, no questions asked.  if it breaks after it is jailbroken apple wont even look at it because you jailbroke it.  all jailbreaking is, is getting the applications on the iphone which itunes now has for the ipod touch.  you just need the software that is only 9.99!  then you can get a bunch of applications for free, without jailbreaking the ipod.

  5. yeah its safee.

    and easy

ive jailbroken mine and it works perfectly

and got loads of apps on it and stuff :D

  6. Yes , if you make a mistake yo u can always restore it.
