Is it safe to kiss your Parrot?

I have two Conures and always kiss them, Is it safe can I catch anything from them?

I could be safe but i wouldnt take any chances with it..... birds carry sillminilla and you catch something even worse i wouldnt anymore if i were u but its really up to you.

no, but if have a cold and kiss them THEY can catch it. Like almost all bird owners i kiss my lovebird, Ty. He loves it! He is a sweety and now if i make a kissing noise and pucker my lips he kisses me! He even makes the kissing noise when he wants me to kiss him!! It's so adorable! My tiel Stormy likes head scratches not kisses, lol if i kiss her she pecks me! lol. I would say if you are sick don't kiss him or if he is sick don't kiss him. I'm pretty sure you can't catch anything from birds though.

okay well first will it bite you ? if it does i would first figure out why it is bitting you then when the problem is resolved kiss her .you shouldn't cach any dessies from her but is it from another foren country if it is then you might be able to get something from it . just be carefull when kissing a parrot you need to let them become conferable with you before you kiss them

i have a parrot it is fine to kiss him/her but make sure you trust them alot. i also have a conure they are fine but if you got it from the wild take them to a vet first. hope i helped i a AUBSEST "people say" with bird i know all most every thing about them if you need any more avise just ask

p.s what kind of conures are they. my bird is a green cheeked conure and a quaker parrot

no it's not safe. YOU will not catch anything, but THEY will. humans have more germs than birds and humans make birds sick.

BUT -- we all kiss our birds. it's just one of those things. like those roller-shoes with a wheel on their heel. everyone knows they are dangerous but give 'em to their kids anyway because what's life without roller-shoes and kissing pet birds?
