Is it safe to leave my printer on 24/7?

I need to leave my printer on to receive faxes but I am not sure if it wears it out.

Yeah, my printer is always on.

I don't remember the last time I turned it off...

I mean, its wastes power, but I don't think it does anything bad to your printer.

It should be fine, but I always recommend buying extended plans on everything now a days.

well, i unplug mine every 30 mins. then wait 30 mins then plug it back in. I find it helpful to set a timer because that way you don't forget and you can wake up when you are sleeping. Because if there is a electric surge then it will explode and start reading off 1. 25959595959. One time with my old printer, i was eating a bologna sandwich and then there was a surge! My sandwich got fried. I tasted it and it was good. The printer had sent the surge all the way to my sandwich! My printer wasnt tasty though. If you are ever without a stove, put some eggs on your printer and call the city power and ask them to send you a surge! I learned this on foodnetwork. Bobby Flay said several resteraunts in Manhatan do this and save a lot of money. Costomers rave about it and it saves the forrest. Maybee this will help you. Have a good day.

Yes. Your not using your printer 24/7, so it doesn't heat up when your not using it. It is better to turn it off to conserve energy, but nothing will happen to the printer if you don't turn it off.

it's fine, but you should power it on and off every week or so to get the normal cleaning cycle that some printers go through at power up. otherwise you can just do the maintenance manually.

leaving a printer on does not use that much electricty and I wouldn't say it wears out your printer, but I am pretty sure it will over a course of months.
