I don't want to burn in an image...is it possible?

The tv I have has a "game" option to set the picture...but I am afraid some games could make a permanent burn.

  1. The burn in rat doubles in the first few veiwing hours of the tv.  As you watch it more, it takes longer for an image to burn in.  It will only ruin a tv if you leave a paused (still) screen on the pdp for any number of hours.  play away, no need to worry.

  2. It does burn into your plasma, I have a 42' Toshiba plasma, after 5 hours of gaming.  I can see a ghost from Call of duty clock imprint on my screen.  If you have time, read the manual and try to find vertical/ horizontal shift on plasma.  These option will move the image every second to prevent burn in (this will slow down burn in but not prevent it).  I hope this help.

  3. lol.plasma tvs and lcds are made for ps3 and xbox360 itll burn if you have a projector tv, itll turn blue and yellow outlines if you have projection
