  1. i dont think so.

  2. ...........................................

  3. There goes your dancing status.

  4. i think its safe if there's not a reason you shouldnt be exercising.  just dont try any new tricks that you aren't comfortable with since you wouldnt want to fall

  5. I'm surprised by the negative feedback.

Poledancing's just a job, guys, chill out...

I don't think poledancing will have any negative effect early in the pregnancy, but maybe at the five-month mark or later it could cause some problems.

I reckon that as long as you're feeling well, and don't feel uncomfortable for any reason, then you should be able to continue dancing.

I'm not a doctor, though, so it would be a great move to ask one. It probably won't be that much different to what they'd say to a 7-day-a-week-jogger, or a professional dancer, or anyone physically active, for that matter.

    Have a good one! :)

  6. no

  7. not for like a LONG time..

butt why would you want too??

  8. Why would you want to? It's doesn't look right to be having a big ol stomach and naked with sagging b*****s and flab bouncing everywhere.

  9. Why is everyone assuming that this is her job?! Pole dancing is great for fitness, and great fun! Just because someone pole dances doesn't make them a w***e, s**t, stripper or any other label you want to throw at them!

It's unfortunate that it's associated with stripping and the "seedier" side of life; there are hundreds of women on YouTube that do it in sportswear and trainers, and watching it is more like watching gymnastics than an erotic show. Open up your minds a bit people.

Off soapbox and on to the pregnancy bit. Depends how you dance and how far along you are. Look up sinbabylk on YouTube... she's got a video up of her 4 months gone, and has some good ways of avoiding the bump in her moves. She also has good advice posted in the comments.

Personally, I think the same rules apply to pole dancing as to any other sport. High impact exercise is a bad idea all through pregnancy, so you shouldn't exactly throw yourself around into tricks. However, if you take it easy and  listen to your body, and maybe concentrate more on spins and stretches, I think you'll be fine.

  10. Why in the world would you want to do that you sluty h**r...Your PREGNANT....God!

  11. isnt that  how you got into this situation? lol

sorry wrong pole, and the answer is ....yes. you can fall.

aim for a job with benefits at this time and make your future kid proud.

  12. i think that you should be fine as long as you dont hit your stomach against the pole hard and as long as you dont hang upside down and such.(:

    good luck with the baby

  13. No, what if your water breaks?

  14. Wow, you're already considered an un-fit mother.

  15. no do crunches instead!

  16. First, I should note:  I am not a doctor, however, as far as I know:

First four months; you should be fine...the baby/fetus does not begin to move until about 16 weeks.  On the other hand, depending on how much and what kind of pole dancing you are doing, you could fall and hurt the baby/fetus.

After 16 weeks; it might begin to feel uncomfortable to pole dance, and the further along you are, the more stress it could cause the baby/fetus.  And once again, you could fall and hurt the baby/fetus.

Though I am not suggesting that you pole dance while pregnant, I have been given some tips from a friend:

--Use latex boots to have more grip on the pole

--No stiletto heel; platforms will give you more balance

--Thongs might not be the best idea; your hips are widening, so it may be rather uncomfortable.

--Beware of swollen hands and feet; use gymnastic chalk to have more grip on the pole.

My best advice is to go to a doctors office or clinic, or maybe a planned parenthood center; and get your prenatal care.  It is expensive, but they will be the people who will be able to help you the most in determining what kind of lifestyle you should lead until your baby is born.  Prenatal care will include determining a diet and exercise routine, as well as ultra-sounds and other checkups.

Also; I would like to note that it is rude of the many other answerer's to accuse you of getting pregnant just because you pole dance.  Whether it is true or not, it is not right to assume or accuse you of becoming pregnant because of your career choice.

  17. odviously not that is how you got that way in the first place

  18. you just gonna be a GREAT mom!
