I was wondering if having a television in my room wont affect my health. I am a teenage boy. I usually make web designs for people on my computer. However i recently decided i want a TV in my room. My grandmother who i live with is always watching TV. I however like to watch the news or maybe play a blu-ray movie. That's why i was thinking of putting a TV in my room. I watch about 20 minutes a day of television and sometimes watch a movie. Do you guys think having a TV in my room will affect my health?

  1. What does that mean? It's not radioactive. How could it hurt you?

If you spend all day watching it and eating quarts of ice cream, I guess that'd be unhealthy... but that'd be your doing, not the TV's.

  2. i have a tv in my room and i still dont watch it that much, it is usefull and hasnt affected my health at all

  3. no if you if you only watch an hour and a half a day but make sure your not eating while watching it because you will eat that whole hour without stopping.

  4. No there is no radiation coming off of TV's these days. She may be remembering back to a time 50 years ago or so when TV's did emit a small amout of ionizing (X-ray like) radiation. Modern (CRT) TV designs eliminated this years ago. PDP and LCD TV's cannot emit such energy due to the way in which they operate.
