  1. It is perfectly safe. Your camera and many other items are exposed to radiation on a daily basis. The old cameras were not exposed because of the fear that the film might get exposed.

    FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

we are always getting fall out radiation, cosmic and terrestrial. There is no way to avoid it all we can do is live with it....

  2. Yes,it is safe to do.I came back from an international trip, and sent all my camera equipment through including the memory cards and everything was o-k.As for other electronic equipment you may have?I don't know?

  3. the camera is cool but they do say dont put through any storage devise ie hard drives or memory cards

  4. It is safe to put any electronics through.  I run an x-ray machine on a daily basis

  5. I repair x-ray processing equipment for a living and frequently use my cell phone for testing exposures. Same phone for years with no ill effects. Should be no problems..

  6. It's perfectly alright. Everyday millions of people with cameras fly and these cameras go through the X-Ray machine with no problems. I have gone through with both film and digital cameras, no problems at all. The X-Rays won't damage or corrupt the card in any way. That's just not how it works. Your PSP will be fine too. Some myths just don't die.

  7. No, there shouldn't be a problem, but if you're really concerned - go to the airline's website for info.

  8. yes i think so. i only think the xray messes up film in cameras. my digital camera has gone through the airport xray and it is fine.

  9. With digital, you don't have to worry about x-ray machine. Most likely you want to be concern with highly magnetized devices. It's supposed to be okay to passed through the metal devices, however, for some reason my sister's memory card got corrupted after it passed through the metal detector. I think you can request to have it visibly inspected (puting it in a container so it doesn't pass through metal detector or x-ray.  Here's a site insuring about digital camera/memory cards passing through x-ray machine:
