  1. I wouldn't recommend it, the wood could have parasites and mites on it, it would be much safer just to buy one.

  2. I think you could boil it for about 30 min. Of bake it at about 400 for say 45min.

As long as it doesn't have a scent it should be fine.

  3. think youre supposed to bake anything like that before putting it in in an oven.. making sure it doesnt go on fire of course....:P

and probably should wash it thouroughly beforehand,

do that and id say itd be grand.

theres forums that have advice on stuff like this..

    http://www.herpcenter.com/reptileforums....

something like that.. just google reptile forums if theres nothing there

  4. If you have a picture of it, it would help us identify it. As long as it is not pine or cedar, it is ok to put in. Either put it in the oven at 375 for about 30 min, or if it is small enough, boil it in water. This will kill any bacteria or mites in the wood.

  5. yes as long as its not cedar, soak it in 50/50 water bleach solution (warm water) and then bake it in the oven and let it dry for 2-3 days so any other chemicals from the bleach are evaporated

  6. yea you should just buy one
