Is it safe to remove Linksys software?

Question

I just got a linksys WRG54GS. I installed the program so that I could hook it up. Now I have done that now. Can I remove the linksys program so that I don't have to have it open everytime I turn on my main computer.

If you not using the linksys software to manage your wireless connection then yes you can remove it.

I have just setup a linksys wireless router and have not installed any Linksys software at all, I went to Linksys website and followed the instruction for setting up cable internet,  you can go to linksys website and chat with the tech guys there.

goto the website and click on support and enter your modem model details..

Removing the software also removes the drivers, if it came with a CD, look in the cd for the Drivers folder, copy them to your desktop, uninstall the software, restart the compy, it should say "New hardware found" it will give you a choice of automatically finding the drivers, or finding them yourself, click find them yourself, then browse to the drivers folder on the desktop, it should install them and no crappy linksys program to worry about.
