Is it safe to ride on metro shuttle buses from digos to davao?

Most buses will be safe. Sadly enough, if this group bombs again, we don't know when or where it will be. You have to take chances.

There was a bombing incident a few weeks back and there have been threats to the bus company. Basically a group is out to extort money from the bus company.

Gone are the days when rebels would ask passengers to get off and then torch the bus. I think it was a polite sort of mayhem.  Now its all about homemade bombs and body count.

I fear for my relatives there, but they have no other choice, its the only efficient line to get to Digos. It is still risky.
