I really need to fill my can to mow the yard. The station is about 2 miles up the road but I have a 5 month old baby with me. No one else to help out.

  1. providing the car windows are down abit and the lid and seal is in good condition use towels or something similar to support it from tipping over.

also make sure you put the can on the ground before putting fuel in it. this earths the can and stops any sparks from igniting the gas

    take care happy mowing

  2. As long as it's in the trunk, you'll be fine for 2 miles.  We have one too and we were told that they are made out of a special kind of plastic that prevents any explosions unliess of course if someone threw fire into it.  Your baby will alright as long as it's in the trunk because there are always fumes when you fill it.

  3. It will be okay but roll all the windows down and remove the child as soon as you get home..

  4. Keep it in the trunk and drive carefully, and you should be okay.  Of course there's always risk, but you can say the same thing about driving with a child in a car period.
