The treadmill requires 220-240 volt outlet but i can plug it into a regular 110 outlet in my home for a small amount of time before it trips the circuit breaker on the treadmill. I am a little nervous about causing a fire. Any suggestions?

  2. You'll eventually ruin the treadmill but you can do it.

  3. yes a 220 volt motor performs its best on a 220 volt outlet. running it on 120 causes the motor to work twice as hard due to that your outlet is pulling twice the amount of amps. which causes excessive heat on your indoor wiring. so its not a good idea.

  4. Well, no it is not safe.Your tripping the breaker because you are overloading the circuit. If you don't burn the motor out on the treadmill first, your a house fire waiting to happen. If you really want to keep the treadmill, first find a step down transformer or run a 220v circuit with correct breaker into the room your treadmill is in. Look to spend a few hundred dollars for either. It might be cheaper to buy a used treadmill that will work on 110v. try looking on craigslist or find a equipment store in your area that sells used ones

  5. You're gonna burn it up.

  6. Its not safe, and it just won't work properly.
