I think the fight will go down as one of the best of tihs millenium. It is fights like this that can make MMA obsolete.

I feel Marquez won but thats me. It was a great classic war and both of these men deserve respect and are true living legends.

Its a shame that the big money De La Hoya vs Mayweather won't even touch this fight. What a d**n shame.

Honestly I can't see anything topping that match even though we have some great matchups schedueled.With all respect to Diego and Castillo,This fight to me topped Corales vs Castillo I.As for round of the year,all you have to do is pick one.Another ten seconds and Everyone would be saying this was one of the best fights of the rescent era.True warriors.I thank them both for all of the boxing community.

This fight is definetely a worthy candidate for fight of the year, and round 12, along with round 4, are worthy candidates for round of the year. Remember, round 4 was the round that Vazquez went down and after getting back up, landed one big power punch on Marquez, who was coming forward for the finish, and sent him back and almost finished him himself.

Further, I would even rank round 4 above round 12, though round 12 was definetely more exciting than any round some other fighters have ever fought in their careers (Mayweather).

For those of you who don't speak Spanish - Marquez was advised to calm and fight more technically without slugging it out by his corner since in their minds he had the fight won while Vazquez was advised by his corner to finish it and give it all you got - that was the difference in the fight and also in my opinion why round 4 was better than round 12 - Marquez was not only fatigued, but didn't want to slug it out this round.

Either way, this should even be fight of the Century!!!!

Hats off to those two maginficent Mexican warriors!

P.S. For the guy who said he was watching UFC - I feel bad.

Not yet it isnt. The fight no doubt was a classic. No doubt the 12th round was a classic. This fight was a GREAT fight to end the rivalry and the trilogy. BUT, you have to wait for April 12th. The fight card on HBO that day is amazing. If no fight tops this fight on that date, then yes, this fight is FOTY and will have the ROTY. Also, Showtime has a good fight coming on Next Saturday between 2 sluggers. Gotta watch out for that one too.

I was at the fight myself, i dont really have a great answer like most of the others on here, but lets just say that Vazquez broke my heart, i just knew Marquez was gonna win and i had a bet going with my wife and i was so excited of my "winnings" i was to recieve and than out of nowhere Vazquez just cathes Marquez with a sweet punch and in all honesty i cou;dnt even concentrate or focus on how great that round/fight was, all i can think about was that i lost my bet. yeah well at least i got to enjoy the other 11 rounds. oh yeah, it'll definetly be round/fight of the year unless Marquez-Pacquiao end up in a similar war.
