Is it safe to set fire to Vaseline?

Me and my friends were making bonfires with toilet paper and stuff on the roof and we wanted to make a bigger fire. But of course we dont want to do anything CRAZY which will burn the house down. Will Vaseline set on fire/make the fire bigger? If so, will it be big, but like, safe, or will it be crazy big and explode?
