  1. Yes that is true never get a shower during a storm.

  2. Yes it is true.  Lightning a lot of times follows through the plumbing system.  It is not a good idea to shower in a thunderstorm, especially with a lot of lightning.

  3. Stay away from plumbing pipes like your bath tub or shower, as well. Lightning has the ability to strike a house or near a house and impart an electrical charge to the metal pipes used for plumbing. If you're touching those pipes or anything connected to those pipes, that electrical charge has a path to you. This threat is not as great as it used to be, because PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is often used for indoor plumbing these days. If you are not sure what your pipes are made of, wait it out.

  4. Well...that's difficult to say.  It makes perfect sense that lightning could travel through metal pipes full of water---both great conductors.  But then again, pipes are generally underground, difficult for lightning to reach.  But if it strikes your house, then it can go through all conductors easily--metal pipes, electrical wires, etc.  Just to be safe, I wouldn't shower in a lightning storm.
