I have an electric weed whacker and leaf blower that I keep in my basement. I'd like to move them out to the shed but I wonder what effects heat, cold, and dampness would have on the motors. They would be kept in a plastic Rubbermaid shed. Temps here range from 20-105 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year, and it is somewhat humid (typically 70-90% humidity).

Thanks, everybody.

  1. The temperatures won't hurt them a bit and as long as they are kept dry they will be fine.  Fitting a plastic bag over them to keep them clean and dry is an excellent idea.

  2. Double bag plastic garbage bag, must esier then winterizing gas tools

  3. I think it would be ok, I live in London and I keep all my garden equipments in my shed including my electric mower and it work fine.
