  1. Here is a resource: http://www.cncahealth.com/health-notes.h...

The previous answer is also good advice about checking with your doctor or pharmacist. Just be aware that many docs don't know much about supplements.

  2. Yes it is - so long as you are not on epilepsy drugs.

  3. There are interactions with some prescriptions medicines and other things. If you are more precise as to which prescription medicines you are taking, I may be able to help you.

  4. I don't think anyone here could advise you on that as we don't know what u r taking & also it'd take a qualified physician to tell you that.

I'm sory if this is not helpful but to be 100% safe, u'd have to ask ur Dr.

  6. Good question!  My advice would be to ask your doctor.  Always, always consult your primary care physician before taking any herbs or supplements with any medications.  Yes, it's a good idea to do your own research on the net--however, always best to consult both your doctor AND your pharmacist--not the pharmacy techs--but the pharmacist.  They know even more about medications than the doctors do.

    Hope this helps.

  7. It's best to ask the doctor, but I take 5htp with Propranolol and general painkillers and I'm okay. I guess it depends upon what you're taking. I wouldn't recommend taking it if you're on SSRIs or St Johns Wort.
