Is it safe to take a Grey hound bus from Kentucky to new york ? please help !?

okay i know people are prob. like who cares ? but im going to new york for the summer to see all of my friends because i moved to kentucky. and my mom doesn't think that me taking a bus would be safe because you have to switch from bus to bus. but i'm 16 i think i can handle it. either that or i have to wait untill the 8th of july to leave...which is way to far away. is there anything i can tell my mom to convince her to let me go on a bus ?

I've done it several times. I never had a problem once.

I took a greyhound bus completely alone from Ohio to Philadelphia PA when I was 8, 12, 18 and it was a few bus switches but no one bothered me or even approached me once.

The last time I did it was about 2 years ago when I was 18, there were several younger children there w/o their parents.
