  1. It depends what kind. If it is an older one with a CRT (cathode ray tube), it has a capacitor in it that could potentially kill you.

  2. No, it is not safe

if you need to fix it then pay someone who knows what they are doing to do the job.

  3. you wanna die - yes

    if not  - NO

    i prefer #2

  4. As long you unplug it from its electrical source...yes

  5. UHHH< DUH NOOOOOOOOOO

Unless u unplug it and want to get electricuted!

SORRY IF I SPELT IT WRONG!

  6. yeah- a kid in my class took apart some computers and built a new one. yeah, it can be done!!

  7. I agree with the person about the capacitors.  I used to work for a place that makes them.  If you work on it, wait a few days before working on it.  The charge can be real nasty.  I know I have been stung working with them after testing.

It is better still to get a new one or get a service tech if you don't know what you are doing.

  8. Just unplug it first.

ADD: I'm sorry, I said that just based on my common sense. If someone who actually knows what they're talking about says it's unsafe, I would listen to them.

  9. it depends on two thing how long has it been unplugged and it depends on what you touch in the back.

  10. As long as you unplug it first and have enough money to replace it when you realize you can't put it back together, I guess its safe.

  11. what does this have to do with economy????????? who ever can answer this question is really smart.

  12. No

    edit

Telling people it is safe , is a clear violation of Y!A rules that state you should give no answers that are harmful.

  13. NO just like a computer screen. Its dangerous hazerous... Don't do it  plzz i don't want you to get hurt and get killed and be called a dare devil. Its a ray tube .

  14. If you have to ask, don't.

  15. Only if you are making it a home for Hampsters or Goldfish

  16. Definitely unplug it first.................................

BUT you should also be careful if you have intentions of putting it back together and planning on plugging it back on 0_o
