Is it safe to take half a vicodin if I am on Effexor?

My tooth is killing me and I can't get to the dentist until Monday. I have some Vicodin left over from a previous injury, can I take it if i am on Effexor? Is it safe, in your opinion. I researched it on drugs.com and it said:

hydrocodone (Ingredient of Vicodin HP) and Effexor XR (venlafaxine) (Moderate Drug-Drug)

I have taken aleve and advil and they aern't doing anything.

  1. It isn't a problem to do so, but be aware that you may have more pronounced side affeects such as increased sleepiness OR excitability.
